About Ryan

Ryan Bennett is a real estate salesperson with RE/MAX North Country, proudly serving the Plattsburgh and North Country region. Born and raised in Plattsburgh, Ryan graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 2005 and grew up as a fourth-generation landlord, learning the value of hard work, strong communication, and responsible property management from an early age. He now follows in the footsteps of his mother, Kathy Bennett, a respected associate broker with RE/MAX, continuing the family tradition of helping clients make confident real estate decisions.

Ryan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Funeral Service Administration from the State University of New York at Canton and has spent more than 20 years working as a licensed Funeral Director at Brown Funeral Home. His experience coordinating services, supporting families, and managing sensitive situations has shaped his calm, detail-oriented, and client-first approach to real estate. In addition, Ryan is co-owner of Express Lane and Adirondack Coast Self Storage, giving him valuable insight into business operations, customer service, and property management that directly benefits buyers, sellers, and investors.

Community involvement is central to Ryan’s life. He serves on the SUNY Canton Funeral Service Advisory Board and participates in organizations including the CVPH Foundation Board, Sons of the American Legion Post 1619, the Plattsburgh Moose Lodge 2390, and the Knights of Columbus Council 255.

Ryan lives in Plattsburgh with his wife, Abby, and their daughters, Meredith and Collins. They enjoy summers on Lake Champlain and Chateaugay Lake, family vacations, and making the most of life in the North Country. A devoted sports fan, Ryan proudly cheers for the Buffalo Bills and the Montreal Canadiens.
